Chicago Suburbs Gay Wedding Photographer: I loved the light and architecture in this prairie style Kenilworth Club Assembly Hall! The way the chandeliers created pockets of light across the cocktail space made for some great photos showcasing the joy of this wonderful couples special day. Using the available light in a space is always my first preference because it leads to pleasing natural looking candid images that have a documentary wedding photojournalism style. The couple had multiple singers perform during the reception which was catered by the Hearty Boys Catering.
Another advantage to using high speed lenses to capture the natural light in the room is that you get this dreamy circles around distant out of focus light sources.
"We hired John as our wedding photographer and couldn't have been happier with the results! We met with him beforehand and he really listened to our wishes for the event without trying to make us do something he felt like doing. During the evening, he unobtrusively floated around the room and candidly caught priceless moments. His photography was unique and contemporary, which resulted in exactly the type of photos we wanted (not the type you'd find in your grandma's photo album). Our friends and guests commented on the excellent quality of his work. Many felt the finished product was the best they had ever seen. We easily would recommend John over and over again to anyone who was interested in some truly professional photography." - Sean & Kevin
